The food was good but I came too late to have more options. They were closing but still nice enough to accommodate me with what they had available.

The owner was lovely and very welcoming and graciously accommodated our lack of ability to speak French. We had the octopus and fish soup and a glass each of local wine. We finished with the Corsican cheesecake. Everything was delicious. We plan to dine here again the next time we’re in Marseille.

Wonderful Corsican food away from the busy tourist area. 👌 Great welcome and service. Thanks again to the staff for a lovely dinner. 🙏🏼🙌👏 The restaurant is charmingly decorated inside. We had the artisanal beer (white) and the Corsican rose wine. The home made butter that comes with the starter cold cuts is very good! We both took the octopus for main and it was really really delicious and special. Certainly a recommendation for antigens visiting Marseilles. Note: Bring a mosquito spray along in summer if you want to stay outside. Also to note, on maps the restaurant appears to be closed until 19:30 but we were there 18:40 and we were warmly welcome and allowed to already sit.

This was easily the best meal we had during 5 days in Marseille! The starter was absolutely fantastic! The main was even better! Accompanied by beer and wine from Corsica just finished a perfect evening! Don't cheat yourself from this experience! It might be 20-25 minutes walk from the Vieux Port, but 100% worth the it! Highly recommended!

Best food I had in Marseille. It's a little off the beaten path but well worth the visit. I shared the octopus and duck dishes and the flavours were incredible. The honey and thyme sauce that came with the duck was divine. I can't recommend Chez Marinette enough.

The restaurant is very cozy, staffs are very welcoming and friendly. Although they don’t speak much English, they tried their best to explain the menu! Good price for the amazing food and the portion! Highly recommended!

Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. If you want to get away from the Marseilles center craziness and environment, this location is perfect choice. However English menu is missing and prices are really high considering the food quality and taste. Food wasn't bad but also not special.

If you've been in Marseille and you missed this place, then it means you need to go back to Marseille. I had a grilled octopus with vegetables, and I'm pretty sure I'll remember it for a long time: crispy outside, and like a dense cloud inside. And tasty. The chef then took a piece of rainbow and put it together with tasty vegetables. I hope to be back soon in Marseille 💙🤍
